So I have this kool aid drinking bro. Fox news, all that. full of Repub talking points, etc, and I have been bantering with him about Obama- he sends me the latest smear letter, and I refute it. Then he tries another one, and I refute that. On and on. He finally runs out of "facts" and send me the following, which, I refuted point by point. This has been on my mind since watching Kos on MTP Sunday. The essence of the show was the illustration of how Democratic leadership has failed to represent the rank & file Democrat. Democratic leadership has become so entrenched in beltway thinking that it has lost touch with America. Along come Kos & Dailykos, and suddenly the "average American" has a way to unite an speak with one voice. And a place to unify & organize, producing clout that has affected national politics. As the interview showed so plainly, mainstream media and Democratic leadership are afraid of us. For years they have held the reins and the filters, and have pretty much told us what they want us to know. But that has drastically changed and now we have a way to hear the truth and find the facts and speak for America.
Nebraska Gov. Dave Heineman received word from President George W. Bush and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) that the President has approved Gov. Heineman's request for an expedited disaster declaration for parts of Nebraska damaged by recent severe winter storms.
"I want to personally thank President Bush and his disaster response team at FEMA for moving so quickly to approve our request for a federal disaster declaration," the Governor said. "Much of central Nebraska remains without power or powered by alternative means, and this assistance to the public entities trying to accelerate the recovery efforts in our communities is welcome and warranted under these difficult circumstances."
I have noticed that, since the election, there seems to be more troll coming around, and they seem to have a coordinated message.
What they post seems to be attempts to stir up dissent, and sometimes they are successful, but usually, they prove to be the idiots they are. the tactics are the same Rovian ways: posts built on half truths, assumptions, inflammatory words, and attacks. Usually, we let them post & rant while we rebut their arguments, but their seems to more of them putting up diaries now. I think some trolls are postings under different names, too and (I don't know the slang for it) ganging up on a topic.
I think this is a planned attack to try to destroy or discredit the Dkos community. The Repugs have seen how effective we are in getting good honest into office who really care about their fellow Americans, and they want to stop that. Since money, lies, smears, hate & bribes wouldn't do it, a stealth is all they have to go on.

In sum: the levee broke from underneath, because it was leaking through a bed of peat that it was sitting on. It was leaking before Katrina, the residents were complaining about water puddles, but it was not repaired in time.
The following is a dairy I kept before, during and after Katrina. The whole thing is a planned set up from the get go. The swift boaters were ready to roll as soon as she staged her little drama queen act.
I believe that congress will not impeach Bush, unless they see firsthand how many people want dimson out of office. And the only was to do this is with massive protests and marches on Washington. Congress doesn't think there is enough anti Bush sentiment, and they don't believe the level of communication the net & blogs provide.
I propose doing two things at the same time: have a "blog march" on Washington in the Spring. Get from behind our qwertys and in public. Spread the word on all blogs and get a million or so to march to remove Bush from office.
We need to show the current administration exactly who they are supposed to be serving- us, not the lobbyists or the big corporations. And show the loudly and often.
If we, here, and other blogs, Move on, etc, spread the word via the net and get a mil or so in Washington, this will show the power of the 'net, and how we will flex our colletive muscle to regain contrl of this country, and make our officials serve us.
"Bush Destroyed New Orleans". I have posted this in response to others' diaries so much that I think this deserves one of its own. But it is the Truth. The fact that the President of the United States caused this and stood by, failing to activate even a shred of preventative measures, is almost too much to comprehend. But it happened.
We know now that Bush will not let the Crescent City be rebuilt. He Lied (as usual), and is stonewalling funding and anything that may help New Orleans. Bush passes tax cuts for the rich & billions for Iraq, but a trifling for New Orleans Truly scary, as it reveals what he thinks of humanity- just his pawns in a game of greed.
I am betting the so called "pro war" camp, that is being set up in Crawford, is a bunch of paid Bush shills. Can we get pix & names, find out who these people are, and expose the ringers? Anyone on location that can help with pix and info? Let's expose this for what it is- a paid-for anti protest.
She is part of the "Denver Three", along with Karen Bauer & Alex Young, kicked out of a Buscho Town Hall March 21 meet by a fake SS agent. The WH & the SS are not doing anything to find out who the fake agent is, a federal crime, BTW. I would bet that Leslie and her buds could remember the face of the "agent" well enough, and I would bet that there are pix somewhere, and one might have that fake in it.
